What is CalHR Guard?
CalHR Guard is an independent business focused on California employer HR compliance administration. Available work is confirmed in writing and can include paperwork, training coordination, deadline follow-up and record organization.
Can you help a small California business without its own HR department?
You can ask us to review routine administrative work you need taken off your plate. We first confirm the available scope. We are not a substitute for legal advice, a required qualified professional or workplace responsibilities that remain with your business.
How much does CalHR Guard cost?
BOTH your IIPP and SB 553 plans are $199 USD once for preparation, with no automatic recurring enrollment. Review Workplace Safety Plans.
Standalone ongoing CalHR support starts at $149/month for up to 20 covered employees, with monthly or annual billing reviewed before purchase. It is one service fee for the business, not a charge for each employee. Review included ongoing services and billing choices.
If you choose the one-time BOTH-plan package, its optional ongoing-service path still requires actual delivery of both plans and a separate accepted agreement. Existing agreements retain their prices and terms.
Does the assessment sign me up or charge me?
No. The assessment is free and is saved for scope review. We reuse your assessment and ask only for missing workplace details. Saving an assessment does not authorize payment, establish plan delivery or start ongoing service.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. CalHR Guard is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or representation. A licensed attorney should advise on legal obligations or a specific dispute.
Can you coordinate employee training?
Training coordination, reminders and ongoing follow-up are optional ongoing services after actual delivery of both plans, under a separate agreement. They are not included in the one-time $199 preparation. Required employee training itself is not made optional by choosing whether to purchase our coordination service. The actual course, qualified resources where required, and responsibilities must be confirmed before employees are enrolled.
Can you take care of an IIPP or a workplace violence plan?
You can start a free scope inquiry for preparation of both your IIPP and SB 553 Workplace Violence Prevention Plan for $199 USD once. Applicable scope, missing workplace information, qualified input and employer responsibilities must be confirmed. A template alone does not establish compliance or workplace implementation.
Can you renew my business license now?
Our managed filing service is being prepared. Currently, licensing and renewal requests are scope inquiries only; filing services are not yet available for purchase. No filing or payment is authorized by an inquiry.
Is CalHR Guard a California government agency?
No. CalHR Guard is independent and is not affiliated with the California Department of Human Resources or any government agency.
What information should I send first?
Send your business contact details and a general description of what you need. Do not send employee medical records, Social Security numbers, passwords or other sensitive information. Request a suitable transfer method before sharing confidential records.
Will my business still need to do anything?
Yes, where its involvement is necessary. Accurate workplace information, approvals, signatures, on-site implementation and employee participation can require your business. We focus our requests and prepare the supporting administrative work.
What happens when work costs more than my plan?
We explain proposed work and obtain your written approval of the scope and fees before arranging additional paid services. Preparation and quality-control review needed to deliver services already included in your plan remain included.
